When held to account, false teachings on forgiveness fell on deaf ears. Religious communities promoting the gift of salvation? First to shun unsuspecting individuals love bombed into compliance. 

This section is a sacred archive of survivor voices – firsthand accounts, memoirs, and letters never sent. Truths once whispered in shame, now tempered by fire and ice! These are witness accounts clergy denied, forbidding congregations from inquiry. Authentic lives behind misleading headlines – manuscripts penned under threat of erasure. As by dictates of justice, these truths are shared not for vengeance, but efforts in restoring narratives to any stripped of humanity. 

Readers will imbibe from those born into cults, groomed under the fearful eye of scripture, then exiled for entertaining critical thought/asking questions. While some walk away with beliefs intact, others have had core identities shattered. Most among the precious lose everything to vultures, forced to rebuild from a place of despair while battling ideation. Professional help they might seek is often out of reach, while those able to access are misdiagnosed by secular practitioners. 

And yet they persevere, transcribing pain onto the page. Survivors don’t start out aspiring authors, as is often the case in fictional circumstance. These are horror stories which had to be relived to be written. Dredging a lake of memories and partial decay prematurely buried. While sharing is not about vindication – setting the record straight sets that default. More than any other measure, publishing one’s truth is imperative toward healing.

Survivor testimony is not anecdotal, but historical record in accord with any other victim impact statement.
